You can fix this in their settings.
In go sms pro tap menu settings advanced tab notification settings and uncheck notifications.
Then go toreceive settings and un check 39 disable other message notification 39.
In handcent tap menu settings application settings.
Tap 39 default messaging application 39 and choose disable.
Then turn on 39 lower priority 39.
